Do you use qt-3.3.3? There is a bug in this Qt version: the dead keys are, well, dead. So if you tyÃpoe an accent, say, ^, it doesn't wait for the character to be typed that it will be an accent of. Very irritating. It also disables the use of ^ for superscript in math. - Martin
