Hi LyX-friends,
in my LaTeX-Preamble in LyX:
\usepackage{fontspec}
\setmainfont{arial.ttf}
and in the LyX-text in a TeX-Box
{\fontsize{5cm}{5.5cm} Really big text!}
and then PDF with LuaTeX
and then my "Really big text!" has not changed.
What's missing?

after updating from KDE-3.1.4 to KDE-3.3.2 (SuSE-8.2) and recompiling
LyX-1.3.5-qt, (and reconfigure), most math-symbols on the LyX-screen are
replaced by text.
The latex-xft-fonts are installed and worked Ok with LyX-1.3.5-qt before
the update.

I´m trying to export the German LyX-UserGuide de_UserGuide.lyx to
pdf-format (dvips->ps2pdf) and got the error-message:
LaTeX Error: File `prettyref.sty' not found.

when I try to export lyx-files to pdf-files in batch-mode with
"lyx --export pdf myfile.lyx"
I always get the dvips->ps2pdf pathway.
Is there a parameter or flag in the lyx-call for choosing the dvipdfm or
pdflatex pathway?

well, I installed pdfscreen.layout global, so I had to change the file
permission of your pdfscreen.layout from 600 -> 644, now everything is

I'm working with Lyx 1.3.2-1 QT on SuSE-8.1 and I'm not clear, if the
following is a Lyx or Latex problem - so any help is welcome.
I want to place two minipages side by side, with bottom alignment. Lyx
is showing this fine (on screen), whether I fill the minipages with text
or with a tabu
dependencies' in
the SuSE-Yast-installation-program, but that´s because the
rpm-database doesn´t mark a --nodeps installation, and this point is
offtopic here.
2. The workaround of Andrea, for using the xclipboard for copy&paste
from Lyx to other programs, is a great help - thank you.

lyx-preferences. But it doesn´t help - I always get the ´german´ lyx.
