Anybody know of or have a decent .layout for the ACM (Association of
Computing Machinery) conference? There's a class file for it, but no
style file and (to my knowledge) no lyx.layout.

bug-hunt. I can't imagine why latex won't run on this if no-one else
has a problem. I guess it's a troublesome bug-hunt afterall.

with this?
Attached are my .lyx file that's failing and the exam.layout that I'm
working on. (There was a lot of cutting and pasting, so all of the
styles currently look the same, that'll be changed.)

easily, and will try my best at a style if necessary. I'd just rather
not re-invent the wheel if they are out there already.
Thanks,

I seem to remember this thread rearing its head before, but I can't
find it in the archives. I want to import and edit postscript
files. How can I do so?
Thanks,

Can someone send me a .lyx file with algorithms successfully used? I'm
having problems and imagine it's something simple that I've screwed
up, either in the text or the preamble. Thanks.

I'm trying to format a word like LaTeX and TeX can be written.
How can I find out how to format letters (like that tiny capital A in
LaTeX?) and make it easy to use in LyX? I have Lamports book but
didn't see it. A page number would be fine.

guys tell me that's the book, I'll order it. I'd like to learn this
the right way.
Thanks

ex/latex.
I'm going to try to reinstall the TeX tree and see if that makes a
difference, maybe there was something that corrupted when I originally
installed it.

I could copy the lyxrc.defaults file into my home dir, but that would
be a weird cause of a problem like this.

Is there a simple known fix for this? I can't seem to find any ref to
it in the archives or the manual.
Thanks all
By the way, what's up with the comment in the docs about icons. Do you
developer types really want more icons?
