floating boxes results in table numbers increasing by 2. My document having
such tables only shows even table numbers only.
I think this is because each of the converted tables itself (defined as
'longtable') increases

picks one of the tabs. I am not sure if ssconvert's -S switch could help

working on a Win7 machine, LyX 2.1 does not react to the command line 'lyx
--help' to see the usage documentation. Am I missing something here?
Ultimately I would like to use lyx in a .bat based on the current command

with LyX gives a compilation error. If I recall correctly the problem

sections or subsections inserted in track mode yield an compilation
error. Prompted error is, e.g., "Use of \...@part doesn't match its
definition". Interestingly, changes of headings in track mode are not
liked either.

copying the latex text from the source window provides the text, but
with a lot of line breaks. I suspect to make the view in the source
window more readable.
But how can I get rid of the line breaks when the text goes into another
editor?

how can diagrams created with the xy-package be labelled for
references? Furthermore, I would like to label the diagram with
"Diagram #label". How can this be done?

I do not understand. AFAICS, undo works well after Ctrl+m.
