Is it possible to combine both bibtex citations and regular references
(like if you don't use bibtex) in lyx?
I just tried it, but just by using both I also endup with two different
paragraphs called "references" and what is even worse the numbering of
citations is equivocal.

I try to cross reference an existing footnote. As suggested several times
in this mailing list I tried to put a label into the footnote and then
cross reference it. Unfortunately already putting a label inside the
footnote is sufficient to generate 5 error messages.:
"missing \cr inserted
maketitl
