Someone on this list recently helped me when I wanted the figure captions to
be clearly differentiable from the normal text and said I should include

You're right, that's the problemn (as the 8th error message says "too many
unprocessed floats")
That's a problem caused by latex, because it tries to hold back floats that it
thinks don't "fit" perfectly on

Is it possible to cross-reference directly to a subfigure, perhaps by labeling
it? I tend to dislike adding (a) or (b) to the reference to the caption of the
figure-float...

I have splitted my Thesis chapterwise in seperate files (for easier editing)
and put them all together in a Main File consisting only of Include-Tags
