This is also my personal oppinion.
I have to use Office-2010 sometimes, and whenever I can I revert to
LibreOffice mostly because of the awkward UI ms office has.

I am happily using lyx 2.0.5 on both linux and windows.
Importing pdf graphics works great with the windows version, however on
linux lyx allocates a lot of space even for small graphics in the edit

I got forth a bit in the meanwhile. The caption package obviously is
not intended for specifying caption placement.
For latex I found several notes, saying the caption placement is
controlled by the placement of the \caption command.

After enabling the fullpage-package, I am quite happy with the result,
except for the labeling of figues.
By default the numbering/labeling of figures is placed at the left of

Hi,
I was able to import my bibtex-databse I had created using JabRef
successfully into Lyx (when I enable to list all, not only referenced).
However, when I click on the "insert citation" button, the dialog I get has
almost all controls disabled, and there is nothing to choose from.
