cross reference as line number in page

Times Roman vs Latin Modern Roman Font

The Times Roman font looks much better on screen and this is the only difference I could tell from a brief look. Is there any disadvantage when compared to Latin Modern Roman? or is it just a matter of preference? Thanks, Abe
