I managed to hack together a way around it using title and things provided by
the listing package.

Yes, I saw it. But no, apply versus ok doesn't make a difference.
The file you attached had all the "features" you mentioned, e.g., fonts
scaled at 10%. So it would seem that there is something

I think I´m closer to the solution. This all only happens if I set
"Use non-TeX fonts (via XeteX/LuaTeX)".
I think I file a bug report and see what happens...
thanks for your help.

I'm just going through a similar painful process with Lyx 1.6.8 and
LyxWinInstaller. I certainly appreciate the efforts of the LyxWinInstaller
developers, but I do think there is a big problem with the current version-- and
it doesn't warn you properly.
My story is this. I have existing Lyx 1.6.7
I'm writing a book using the memoir class, and it has a lot of program
listings.
I'd like to be able to add captions to these that appear with the form "Figure

"Listing : " and then you have to add text.
Is there a way to

How can I force LyX to use the new 2.9 installation?
You can set the MiKTeX path in:

Re-running the installer will also allow you to change the MiKTeX location.

I recently installed MikTeX 2.9 (with the previous version 2.7 still
installed) and updated to LyX from 1.6.8.
I updated the Windows PATH to use MikTeX 2.9 and there is no reference
to MikTeX in the LyX path. I then rebooted the machine. However,
every time I generate a pdf it appears to still be
Well, obviously LyX sees the package. You're saying that in Tools > Preferences

grayed out? Or is the "Off" option alive but "On" and "No math" grayed out?
In your local LyX settings directory (Help > About LyX > User dir

I solved this problem: In previous versions I used to use Aspell; so I had
now to change the spellchecker engine from Aspell to Native.

Yes, I loaded every child document and rewrote them all with "Save as"
Peter
I'm trying to include some photos in a Lyx table. This helps getting a
number of photos laid out in the position I want them too.
All going fine, except...
Each photo seems to be attached to the box at the top end of the table
(other sides are doing fine).
Am I doing something wrong? Best, FN

Thanks for your reply. Yes, kpsewhich finds the package:
C:\>kpsewhich preview.sty
D:/Documents and Settings/john.beattie/Applica
Just to confirm that the preview LaTeX package is properly installed, if you
open a DOS prompt and run 'kpsewhich preview.sty', does it find the path?
