Your problem might be related to the fontconfig version. On Solaris 10
you can check that by issuing the following command:
egrep "MAJOR|MINOR|REVISION" /usr/include/fontconfig/fontconfig.h

When writing in my native language german I don't want to be disturbed
at all by these red underlinings. And I#m well aware that in my
documents there are ALWAYS lot of typos.
