Will this work for Ubuntu, which essentially is modified de
Hey guys, how are you today?
Well, I've tried to install the Lyx 1.4 and old versions, but I can't.
Actually I tried from many ways to do it on Windows XP SP2:
- from "lyx-144-4-bundle.exe" - complete (74mb);
- from "lyx-144-4.exe" - (8mb); and...
- from the "LyXPackageComplete-3-08.rar" - beri

Hi Debian LyX users,
Just thought I'd led you know that we have uploaded LyX 1.5.0beta1 to
Debian's experimental distribution, if you want to try it out.

Hi,
here are some more experiences I made with lyx-1.5.0beta1:
* LyX opens documents i have been working with before in different ways:
sometimes the window is maximized
other times it shows only a small part of my document in a tiny window
So far I could not identify any condition for this diffe

Hi...
Someone may recall I reported quite a while ago that composing doesn't
work here anymore, in 1.4.4. I did find a workaround by defining an
'american' keyboard.
Now I detected a number of other weirdnesses... If I type '/' o, I
automatically get ó - no compose key necessary! It seems quite

As far as I know, that's the default if you declare your document to be a 2
sided document.

We prefer the textcomp solution, becaus
A few days ago I installed lyx-1.5.0beta1 on my Lenovo T60 with
gentoo-linux and KDE-3.5.6.
A first list of exyperiences:
* The Euro symbol can be entered into LyX and is shown in the GUI. The

Hello,
does anybody know how to force chapters to start only on odd pages?
Thank you very much.

Hello everyone,
I'm still playing with LyX and tex4ht to convert my documents (this
time it is lecture notes) to html. I run into a few problems I would
like to discuss here (if you're interested!)
1) the process fails in generating images if such images are inserted
in LyX from a folder which i

The easier thing to do is then to update the lib/lyx2lyx directory
After the suggestion of Uwe Stöhr, about an incorrect installation of
ImageMagick or Ghostscript (thank you), I made a comprobation of this
installation (transforming manually an eps image to png format), and it works
correctly.
I work with Windows XP.
Some suggestion to repair the problem?

Hi everyone,
I've been hanging around on this list for some time and just wanted
to say thank you for the many hints and this great application, I'm
really looking forward to LyX 1.5.
I'm using LyX 1.4.3 on OS X (PPC). I'm currently preparing my thesis,
my Preamble looks like this:
