compile on my LyX 1.4.2.
Nonetheless I modified it and now it works. Would you like to try to

It doesn't crash for me (SuSe 10.1, self-compiled), but I assume that the
attached patch will help.

I am using the absolute latest lyx 1.4.2 and miktex after a complete and
clean reinstall with the standard lyx 1.4.
