What is available to include vector graphics in Lyx/Latex?
Example: generating a graph from data.
Currently I use gnumeric to compute the graph which make a svg
-> open in sodipodi->edit svg to add more information ->convert to png ->
insert into Lyx/Latex.

1.3.3-Win32 on a USB stick. It works "extremely well" and enables me to access,
edit and spell check my fieldnotes, in visiting institutions, by running
I think so: F&R doesn't work inside ERT, so far as I know. If you want
to do that kind of thing, try opening the LyX file in a pure text editor
and making the changes there. You need to be careful not to mess up the
format of the file, though. Another option is to LaTeX, make your
changes to that,

Tools->Preferences->File Formats. The procedure is not intuitive, there is a

Sure, you just have to modify any existing format and Add.
Converters work alike.
I agree that selecting a format or a converter to make the Add button active
is not very intuitive.
