romanian keyboard map... but it frustrates me that i have to use the

In my .bind file I could bind math-mode but
the binding for mathrm below does not seem to take effect.
\bind "C-m""math-mode"
\bind "C-r""mathrm"
When I hit C-r inside math mode the display bar shows "unknown
function".
