I don't understand what the fuss is about here. What's wrong with the rpm's at
ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/bin/
and mirrors. I've used them with all of RH 7.0-3, and they've worked fine,
provided I had the right version of xforms installed.

Hello,
Is there a way to automatically rotate a figure or table in a float 90
degree when it is placed on a page alone?
It would be perfect if it is configurable, because there are floats
that should not be rotated even if placed on a page along.
Thank you.

Hi,
I'm writing my PhD with Lyx and I need to write some arrays filled with
formulas an I've found the following problem: when I write two formulas
with fractions and/or big brackets and subscripts/superscripts in two
cells placed just one above the other there is no vertical space between
the two

Does anyone uses natbib with LyX ? Does it work ? Is there anything I
should now before instaling it ? like: lyx stops working and all your
documents are damaged after instaling natbib, or, your life will never
be the same as you'll take 2 hours to make a citation reference.

The listings package does this nicely. However, LyX's support for it is a
bit limited...

Hi All,
I have been trying to include source code
written in Prolog into a chapter. It seems
to be more difficult than it should be. The
verbatim context doesn't do it for me ... it
seems to force double spacing into text that
is single spaced. An example of what I use is

Easy way: edit /etc/profile (if you're using bash) and add these lines:

export TEXINPUTS=$HOME/texmf:

Then create directory ~/texmf and copy y

On my Mandrake 8.2 system texmf.cnf is here:
/usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf
And the HOMETEXMF = $HOME/texmf line is commented out. By the way, why would
someone make this directory visible? I would imagine that $HOME/.texmf would
be better so that the average user wouldn't blunder into the d

I imagine lyx uses ispell and apparently Suse has misconfigured ispell
in its version 8.1. Even when one is not in lyx, there is a problem
with the (French dictionary) perhaps I imagine also with the German
one. I mentioned the problem to them and I wait for the answer.

Sorry to answer my own mail ... but

not in ~/.lyx/lyxrc as earlier versions did.
(There is mow a GUI interface Edit->Preferences
