Greetings!
I now have citations almost working for my thesis, with one
minor problem: using apalike style, all the journals that aren't
abbreviated (e.g., Science, Nature, Gene) get commas between the
journal name and the volume:
Science, 256 (5057), 622-7.

I think I've been using the terms bibliography and endnote carelessly. I
want to have endnotes for my citations (but I'm generating them with
bibtex and the cite command coupled with bibliography command at the end).
Currently I have:

Thanks Guenter. I had a hunch that I needed to write a layout file, but
I was a little confused because the FoilTex distribution, which I
successfully installed, didn't seem to have a layout file in it.
Anyhow, I'll give this a try.

Hello,
using LyX in connection with bibtex and an author-year citation style like

I am creating a presentation in Prosper (and it is really great

Hi,
finally I could integrate a bibliograpy into lyx with bibtex. But now I have got
another problem. If I e.g. cite an article out of a Collection (incollection) there
are a few things that will appear in english in my text while I'm writing it in
german. How can I change that. It happens with
I'm not clear why you want to have page numbers in the bibliography. Are you
sure that's what you want? I know of no bst that will do that. What you would
end up with is a bibliography with full reference info repeated for every
time you cited the work. It sounds to me that you want your refere

It was probably written by Donald E Knuth quite some time ago...

version of babel.

We have some power problems at the university due to the storms in
this area, so the lyx mailinglists might be intermittently down. Sorry.

[ paragraph ]
Question 1: blah blah blah
[ paragraph ]
Question 2: yada yada yada
and so forth.
Thanks,

Hi all,
I've been customizing the appearance of the bibliography. One thing I
did was to remove the labels, as suggested in the LyX Tips page:
