btxhak and btxdoc should be somewhere in your TeX distribution. That's a good

When I opened your LyX file I was not able to toggle the position of the
limits either.
I re-wrote the formular myself (see file attached) and it worked fine.
It seems to be a problem with the sum symbol that you are using. When I

I need some entry level documentation on bibliographies. My book's
bibliography will have less than 10 entries, and the format's not really
important. I'd like to have a method of creating cross references from
mentions of books in the text to the bibliography entries.

I need to index my 117,000 word book, written in a slightly modified Book
document class. This thing's much too big to go through every page inserting
indexing entries. What I'd like to do is make a list of words and terms, and
have Lyx place the indexing entries and build the index.

You must set the counter at 0
Hi. Can someone direct me to Lyx compiled binaries for HP-UX 10.2 or
for AIX 4.3.3. I am having problems while trying to compile the source
downloaded from lyx.org.
The error I am getting is:
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: instal
One more question. I got the page numbers to show both roman & arabic.
But when the arabic starts, the count continues where the roman left off
(ex. i, ii, iii, 4, 5, etc) can I get the arabic to start at 1?

and edit the preamble.txt externally.

Yes, you are right..thank you..I found thatediting the preamble was
easier to edit in a text editor rather than the lyx preamble.
Thank you,
