Rainer,
I am not too sure what the ngerman dictionary is but maybe I can be of some
help.
I am assuming that you are using ispell ?
If you have the ngerman dictionary installed you can get LyX (ispell) to use
this to check the spelling by
edit->preferences->Lang Opts->Spell checker

I want to write Temperature along the y-axis of a plot, how can I rotate the
text in \rput[l](x,y){text} 90 dgrees?
thanx Alexis
Hi,
I am wondering, if it is possible to tell lyx to use the ngerman dictionary by
default, if the document language is German.
Also it seems that there is an ibritish, but no ienglish (at least in Debian).
Thanks.
Rainer.

Dear LyX users,
I am using the plain book layout for my document and
I need to use the standard publishing-industry header:
Lastname-PageNumber ie, Harris-1.
Is this possible in LyX? If it is, please let me
know how to implement it.
Respectfully,

Dear LyXers,
did anyone else experience this:
During a tabular operation lyx crashed :-(
It managed to do a emergency backup :-)
Opening the emergency backup results in:

siy month ago I helped someone in Nashville/Tennessee to
write his dissertation with LyX. he said, that he owed me
two beers.
yesterday evening it knocked on my door and there was the
guy (I never saw him before) from the states with a sixpack
in his hand ... :-)

LyX needs the bounding box, that might be present in a .ps file but can also be
missing or wrong.

Dear LyXers,
I have a problem. I frequently have to write letters on my
company's letter paper. This paper is produced by MS Word. All of my
colleagues who decide to write on it use a template and then print it. I
use Lyx and, given that it is not easy to code its aspect in LyX I
