I tried to install the LyX 1.0.2 rpm package found atftp://moni.msci.memphis.edu/pub/
and it seems seems to require the library file libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2
I don't have this file in my RedHat 5.2 system. What should I do about this?
Thank you all,
/Alex

Hi
THis is maybe more a LaTeX question, but it's a short one so I hope
it's OK.
I have a program that inserts a postion of text directly into a LaTeX
dokument. But sometimes it breaks because there are characters with
special meanings (like &).
Does anyone know of a list of these characters, ma
Hi,
I recently upgraded to Red Hat 6.0 and found that it broke LaTeX. LaTeX
would run, but reported missing a file. I eventually found that the
installation/upgrade did not install all the files in the tetex,
tetex-latex, tetex-..., files (in fact there were hundreds of files
missing). This is

Hi, I recently got LyX 1.0.2 installed on our SGI UNIX network. While
working through the tutorial, I can not get LyX to number subsections, it
simply changes the fonts.
When I run LaTex it tells me
This is TeX, Version 3.14159 (C version 6.1), and I'm on IRIX 6.2
I appreciate any/all help!

Hi
Is it possible to make Lyx or TeX to alphabetically sort the entries of a
bibliography. I have got a very long list and don´t want to do this by hand. Or
am I forced to do this within another program and to import the text?
Any ideas?

Well spotted. I fixed it and will commit it in cvs soon.

Hi there!
I just had some problems latexing one of my lyx-files. I found out that
the name of a macro must not contain any numbers, i.e. a macro named
gl2x is not possible. Unfortunately LyX doesn't complain if you use a
number in the name of a macro. I think this should be changed. LyX

Hi
I will do what you say and send the results to you (JMarc) tonight. I
will also show you 6.1 requirements from the binaries I obtained. Would
it be better to send the logs to you directly or to the list? I

Append in TeX-Mode a \vspace{-1em} to each item
Hi
I believe that is the one I am obtained and am using. I am down
loading it (again?) and will try to install in tonight. I will record
that rpm expansion. I am not too familiar with rpm so I might have missed
something important (such as it not installing). The forms.h it put in
