I recently upgraded to Red Hat 6.0 and found that it broke LaTeX. LaTeX
would run, but reported missing a file. I eventually found that the
installation/upgrade did not install all the files in the tetex,
tetex-latex, tetex-..., files (in fact there were hundreds of files
missing). This is a known bug in Red Hat 6.0, but has not yet made it
onto the Errata page. Apparantly rpm gets confused because these packages
share certain files. Reinstalling the RPM's by hand(one at a time) fixes
things.
