Hy,
after getting lyx 1.0.1 running on a ALPHA DUX4, it runs ok, but does
not react on mouse clicks. Its strange, as the online (context
sensitive) help works e.g while beeing over a button, and the keyboard
commandos do ok as well.
The installation worked on SOLARIS 2.5 & 2.6 with the same code

You might try this patch, posted by Etinne Grossmann back on 9 Feb this
year (orig. subject = "Turning off the Banner".
I have not tried it, so can't vouch for its suitability.
