Here's a stylistically slightly reworked version. The patch has been tested
and fixes the main problem (see bugzilla). All remaining issues would be
enhancements wrt 1.3.0 and therefore should be postponed.

Here is a patch so that the papersize choices in tools->preferences->latex and
document->preferences->page format are the same.

Fine with me, except for the addition of B3 and B4. As already argued on
bugzilla, this enhancement will have to wait IMHO.

I would like to inform you about something strange about the
preferences menu that happens to me with LyX. I am using Lix/MAC
1.3.6 on a powerbook with OSX 10.4.3. Everything is fine if I use LyX
