Hi all,

I would like to inform you about something strange about the preferences menu that happens to me with LyX. I am using Lix/MAC 1.3.6 on a powerbook with OSX 10.4.3. Everything is fine if I use LyX "as it is, but if I set the language to ITALIAN with the above attached environment.plist file something strange happens:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http:// www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
        <key>BIBINPUTS</key>
        <string>~/Library/texmf/bibtex/bib</string>
        <key>BSTINPUTS</key>
        <string>~/Library/texmf/bibtex/bst</string>
        <key>LANG</key>
        <string>IT</string>
</dict>
</plist>

If I don't have any "environment.plist file then I found the Lyx preferences as first choice under the LyX menu, BUT if I use the above environment. plist then the "preferences" menu under LyX simply show me the file located in my login under Library/ Application Support/LyX/doc/LaTeXConfig.lyx. To change the preferences I have to go under the menu "MODIFY", where just before "RECONFIGURE" I found another "PREFERENCES".

I don't know if this is a problem related only to Italian, however it sounds strange, isn't it?

Best regards

Giorgio
