lyx crashes if I open a new document and insert a î.
Info about my system :
Debian 2.2 Woody up2date on a i686 (list of packages in DPKG.gz file)
Version Lyx 1.1.4fix3 7/04/2000

After some of the last changes in ButtonPolicies the OK and Apply button
does not activate itself anymore in the DocumentLayout!
Allan do you know why?

I would like to use lyx with pdflatex.
There exist a lot of settings in file 'lyxrc' but they do not work as
expected. Moreover, nothing is said in the documentation about creating
pdf files. Has anybody ever tried to do so? PDF file are very popular
