I have attached an new update of default.ui.
Do not apply my yesterday's patch (on lyx_gui.C);
all that was probably a bit overdone!
The current patch includes:
* src/lib/ui/default.ui: added sub/superscripts to menu as
Insert->Special characters and cleaned-up the file.
