No I think it's a general bug of the scrolling (most probably my fault).
Setting "Cursor follows scrolling" in the preference settings should help.

Scroll with the mouse wheel without "cursor follows scrollbar" is severely

Hi,
here comes a tiny patch that clarifies the new meaning of "mouse wheel
jump" (a native speaker should check whether this is correct English).
Please apply,

Hi,
it seems like the wheel mouse parameter in the preferences dialog indeed
specifies the number of lines to skip and not the percentage of the
screen. I will fix the German description of the paramter occasionally
but IMHO the original english description is also misleading...

Hi,
if I browse through a LyX document with the mouse wheel, the cursor
makes
jumps of about 2 or 3 pages. I have tried to change the preferences

Dear list,
As per my post about the mouse wheel closing open file dialogues, it also

Mouse wheel doesn't work with lyx-1.3CVS compiled with gcc-3.1.
This problem doesn't appear with lyx-1.2CVS (gcc-3.1).

The behaviour ot the wheel in 1.1.4 (scrolling up and down a line at a time)
was different from how 1.1.5 behaves(a full page at a time). Although a full
page at a time would be better for reading a document, for writing/rewriting
one line at a time works better (IMHO). I am including a patch
