excel import: Typically I have a worksheet with a lot of measurement
data, a few intermediate calculations and several neat results tables
somewhere that need to make it into the final write-up. So it would
be great to have some point-a
I don't know anything about tables and longtables, is there anybody
willing to do the proper tabular creation?
We are at feature freeze so we will have to wait for a while. I have
put this to my agenda.

LyX could give some kind of warning if character codes above 127 are
