More strange keyboard behaviour: Select `undo' from the top menu,
subsequent keyboard input does not enter text. Most keys produce
nothing, the following keys produce the following actions:
e: (error-remove-all)
r: run reconfigure
u: message `Command disabled [C-z: undo]'
p: Open preferences p
