Hello,
Here is a small patch to ensure some math-specific characters are treated
in latin9 as well as in latin1.
It solves one of the problems I have with this encoding.
But there are many others. The most important appears when I select iso8859-15
as the screen font encoding.
Instead of

There is a latin9.def at http://www.loria.fr/~gustedt/iso8859-15.html
which allows one to use iso8859-15 screen fonts and simply go
\usepackage[latin9]{inputenc}. It works fine.
I noticed that Lyx doesn't offer support for latin9. Since latin9
a.k.a iso8859-15 includes the euro sign as we

Hi,
this small patch adds a bit to the Latin9 support in LyX: with it, french
guillemets are displayed if the screen font is 8859-15.
It might also be worth adding with iso10646-1 ?..
Thanks,

Hello
I have prepared a patch to enable support of the iso8859-15 encoding.
It consists of a modification to the lib/encodings file, a new
lib/kbd/iso8859-15.cdef file, modifications to the lib/kbd/european.kmap
and francais.kmap to replace the general currency symbol with the euro,
and a very sm
