I have prepared a patch to enable support of the iso8859-15 encoding.
It consists of a modification to the lib/encodings file, a new
lib/kbd/iso8859-15.cdef file, modifications to the lib/kbd/european.kmap
and francais.kmap to replace the general currency symbol with the euro,
and a very small change to the three files definig the choices of
encodings in the Format->Document popup.
I added small changes to the iso8859-1.cdef file to handle better the
other currency symbols, such as yen and cent ; as well as an example
file currency.lyx, which is a brief howto to all the above.
