In bug http://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/10284 a conflict occurred:
Some years a go we added the feature to add packages which are required
by a module or layout file. This turned out to be a very valuable
feature because:
* the user gets a warning if a required package is not installed
* MiKTeX

Suppose I configure and build LyX in a separate directory build/. Then,
to update stats, I have to run "make i18n.inc" from build/po/, since
that is where the Makefile is. But this fails:
cd ../../po ; /usr/bin/python postats.py "2.3.0dev" ../../po/ar.po
../../po/ca.po ../../po/cs.po ../../po/da.p
I have resuscitated the 2.2.2-staging branch (i.e., merge 2.2.x into
it). So, anyone I've told recently, "You can commit such-and-such to
2.2.x after the release of 2.2.1" is welcome to push to 2.2.2-staging,
if they wish to do so. You're also welcome just to wait, as earlier
suggested, if you wish
I propose to add a couple new styles to the enumitem module in master,
moslty to give users more of a sense for what it can do. We could
potentially also add another module, Extra Lists, or something, that
added even more.
This could also be added to the 2.2.x series, using the ForceLocal tag.
