triggering a backtrace from r37969 on. I presume they relate to the
same bug. They both involve split windows, multiple files and r37969.

we have freezed the strings for LyX 2.0, which means that the database
of strings shouldn't move till the final relase. There are 3-4 weeks left
to complete the translations (or update the documentation).
