loading a doc with book-class
Layout 'chapter' does not exist in textclass 'book'.
We failed to find the layout 'chapter' in the layout list. You MUST
investigate!

The patch that I sent to you yesterday and which you commited (thanks!)
fixed the major problem. But now I am facing another problem:
In my documents there are paragraphs with both layout "standard" and
"Standard" now.

Here is a patch to provide the characters Å(ngström), Ø(rsted),
^, _ and the roman math T (for Transpose) in the math misc
panel.
Å and Ø are the only physical units that may be troublesome to
generate on a non-scandinavian keyboard. Also they should be
in roman, being units. This is done auto
Hmmm... you could always use ERT for conditionals. Plain TeX has conditionals
which shoud do what you need and there is a LaTeX package for those that want a
slightly prettier version. The LaTeX package might not support the plain TeX
magic documented in the rest of the message.
