Hi you developer guys,
Is this a bug in Lyx or in LaTeX?
Margin notes appear on the left margin for even-numbered
pages, and right margin for odd-numbered pages.
However, not always.
I haven't chased down all conditions under which this
happens, but repeatably I have observed this --

Is path.h in 1.1 low level enough to allow system specific code?
Since 1.1 uses GNU getopt, I can't use CPP macros
#define chdir _chdir2
#define getcwd _getcwd2
in os2_defines.h any longer. I'm thinking of moving the stuffs
to support/filetools.C and path.h

Hmmm... gv is being called with the paper size given to LyX.
Maybe dvips should be called with the "

Sorry, I forgot to mention the version: LyX version is 1.0.3. It is
the rpm from contrib.redhat.com/libc6/i386 to to be more exact.

I think some mirrors that don't have php should be able to get the html
I think we have agreed to use PHP3.
We will move to PHP3 when Lgb finds the time to upgrade PHP on la1ad.
Mirrors will have to use PHP3. That should not be a problem.
Until la1ad is updated, please start moving the site to the new
scheme.

I could have sworn we were going to update the lyx web site. Then we had a
minor disagreement, and everything stopped. (Or perhaps things stopped
because people actually started hacking code.) Anyway, as I see it, the
current problem is, do we use php3 or regular html for the LyX home page?

We can agree on that. But I really don't think 1.1.x will be any

we will use some more, but not much)

Hi!
To end this discussion, I fixed this behaviour in the most recent cvs, already
last week :) The problem is that dvips was launched with the correct -p flag
when using preview but the -p flag was omitted when using print. Now it works!

It surely is. But it would be *much* easier if everything special would
be introduced by \begin something and closed by \end something -
be it a layout or emphasize or a table.
Currently I do quite a bit of guessing what is going
