Lots of disgreement here, and obviously in many quarters. KLyX offers nothing whatsoever to ease use, particularly at those points where LyX and LaTeX meet (e.g., ERT). For most users, the experience is the same. LyX is even a couple of bumps ahead on the road, isn't it? (KLyX is 12.0 code).
