I can only think that you have not 'ejected' the installer CD from the
virtual-box. You should see the icon of the CD on the bottom bar.
Right-click and eject it.

even with the number of people reporting the bug as 'affects me', I think
that supporting the two wiki areas[1]. [2] on how to resolve the issue
should be a higher priority than trying to find out how many people it
