Lars:
Had the chance to download the daily for vivid yesterday and I "burned" it
to a USB drive . . . using LM17 USB disk creator on my '10 MBPro. I also
have rEFInd installed. Booted up using the option key and I got two FW
icons labeled as "EFI boot" . . . I picked the first one. There were s

While we continue to develop LXQt, please do some heavy testing on
this new version of GTK3 which is likely to land in vivid. There's
more on [PPA testing][] in the wiki.
I point this out especially to the artwork team as it sounds like
there are some bugs we may have to watch out for.

Can i please add that ppa:ubuntu-gnome-packaging/shell-3.16 will contain
all the extra parts needed to make the gnome shell work properly with GTK,
so if you're on ubuntu-gnome, it would help to have this installed

I asked for people to help with testcases and Istimsak Abdulbasir
answered the call. He has now had his [first submission][] (for Gnome
System Monitor) merged!
Based on that experience, I made a [new folder][] for LXDE and
Lubuntu-only components. Note that LXTerminal is not included, but it

So that I am clear, any application beginning with "lx" or related to openbox

Well everything should have testcases, ultimately. As far as stuff
that goes in the LXDE folder, they should either be Lubuntu specific
(Lubuntu Software Center) or relate to some essential piece of LXDE.
The terminal is not one. The window manager (openbox) is not one. If
testcases exist for them,
openbox can work on any flavor (for example, it could replace xfwm in
xfce). additionally, lxde can work with any window manager (like xfwm,
or, in my case, awesome). so that would go in the main packages
directory.
however, by this same token, any panel can be used to replace lxpanel.
