While we continue to develop LXQt, please do some heavy testing on this new version of GTK3 which is likely to land in vivid. There's more on [PPA testing][] in the wiki.
I point this out especially to the artwork team as it sounds like there are some bugs we may have to watch out for. This version contains lots of cool stuff https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GTK+/Roadmap#line-58 but the main motivation from our side is that it contains an implementation of overlay scrollbars that will allow us to remove our existing GTK module which is becoming harder and taking longer to maintain over time. Please test the versions I've just uploaded to the Ubuntu desktop PPA ppa:ubuntu-desktop/ppa and let me know if you see any new bad behaviour not mentioned below or if you have any good reason we might not want to do this.
