I'd be inclined to agree with Lars if we weren't dealing with Apple PPC's.
Seems to me that post 1995, the company never made the same computer twice. At
one point years ago, I had a basement full of them. Difficult under such
circumstances to be all things to all people, especially given that
I agree for many aspects with Lars and Jonathan. At least cd boot and
installation should work out of the box. Several years ago i had an
option to get a nice intel based powerbook for very cheap but i
renounced because of the - at that time - keyboard hassle (german keyb
here).

Okay I did another install of the current daily 20121002 tonight.
Used the method in the first email in this thread to get a usable live
session.

Got a live session and made the install. Started doing some checking and
notice in lsmod I have no obvious graphic
