I filed this bug agianst light lokcer originally but got moved to lubuntu
defualt settings. So it might want to confirm this for lubuntu defualt
settings

I recently discovered that Lubuntu 14.04 does not "respect" those
folders.
Why ? I cannot think why, a reason, a package or a service that could
be responsible for such behavior.
Any ".desktop" file located in those folders disregarded/ignored.
