Hi all,
I just finished installing Lubuntu Precise Beta 1 on a Dell Inspiron 3500
with the above specs using the i386 Alternate Install.
The Guided - Entire Disk install was textbook. Took about two or three
hours, I forget.
The laptop doesn't have built-in Ethernet or Wireless hardware, so I ha
It looks as if even my PII is more modern than I thought, it is pae

I think I have another PC a gateway P5 120 buried deeper in the

if I have any suitable to get up to 128

In my PII -400 PC I had this too. A mouse action at the expected place
produced a connection info and on some occasions the network icon did
in fact appear.

Lance I just did another mini.iso install today with the 20120203 date.
What I have found is that using only the lubuntu-core initially does a

I've tried the alternate CD image from today, twice, and can't get it to
boot. I've entered the data and a bug:

The desktop+mac image is not yet available.

Aloha,
That tasksel might be a bit beginner friendly, however did anyone test
already if Lubuntu Desktop is even added to that? We've only become
official this release, that might mean someone could have overlooked it.
Note that it will take a lot more from our side in terms of documentation.

There is no such thing as a dumb question :) It is my 1st time as the
lubuntu QA co-ordinator, so believe you me - I've asked plenty of newbie
questions on #ubuntu-testing :) Last release, we had adhoc testing; this
time we're on a steep learning curve of full iso testing.

Hi,
There needs to be some sign of life on the testing. We were asked by the QA
team if lubuntu had anyone testing the intel-mac system and had to be
honest and say that we were unaware of any one. They have been told that we
have at least one tester now, that is sufficient to keep that variant

How much coverage do we need to ensure that there will be an official
release? I'm especially worried about amd64. I'll start testing on the
Intel Mac as soon as I'm back on my feet.

Hi,
if the bug needs resurrecting for 12.04, then it needs doing :) My reason
for asking is does one of the methods resolve the problem. Giving the
person who will be sorting the bug out a tested method of resolving the bug
makes life a little more bearable for them :)

Thanks. I posted my observations to the Ubuntuforums.org thread "PPC
