3) Don't know much about winbind, but perhaps you souhld check about using
it.
4) Try changing the cable or switch the card on the linux box - one of

I have one LINUX box (shlomo1) and 3 Win98 machines (shlomo2, shoshana, kids)
on my network. They can all ping each other. IP addresses are 10.200.1.1 -
10.200.1.4. Until recently my network worked fine. All machines showed up in

Its now working for me. To resolve the problem I did this:
erased all the samba packages from 2.0.6 and 2.2.0 and then re-installed
the samba 2.2.0 package and its now working and getting my work group and
its now working perfectly.

I somehow screwed up my SAMBA (LINUX Mandrake 7.0) configuration and after
reading the MAN pages and doing all the testing I could think of, I still can't
find the problem. The system did work a couple of days ago and I don't know
what I changed to fuck things up :-(
