Let me guess... when you telnet - your machines try to resolve the address.. Put on both machine the hosts names... something like: /etc/hosts 192.168.1.2 hetz-machine 192.168.1.3 whimpy-windows 192.168.1.4 beos-box This should be put on ALL your machines (in Windows it's in c:\windows\ho
