Hi!
Last info says that the authentication method in Bezeq system was changed
from PAP to CHAP
so copy your chap secrets file to papa secrets.
Hope this will do the trick.

i'v just recently got connected to the adsl experiment.
recieved an ORCKIT adsl modem and a CNET NIC.
everything works fine under win98, but when trying to connect under
linux (Mandrake 7.1, following the ADSL-HOWTO-BEZEQ )
it apperantly starts connecting and then dies with either "pppd : LCP
