No one forces you to use it. Skype is not a router it makes use of the application layer. You can write your own application that will do the same if you are so upset. Closed source is legitimate. When I disable the interface before starting mta, then the mta does not allow sends to the hosts that it couldn't connect to on start. No delay when connected, but the delay can be upwards of a few minutes, when it is not connected. Here is what I've checked so far: Strace reports waitpid(-1, 0xbf8c, WNOHANG) and waits on this for a while, and keeps doing this over and over. I checked the sources, and it seems that exim4 star
