I need this (old, dangerous, I guess) kernel because a friend has

Hi All,
First, thanx a lot for your help. Such help indeed makes the Linux world
much more "affordable" for many reasons, and makes me happier with my choice
of OS, to which I stick for a few years now. Since not all of us are Uber
sysadmins/programmers, or simply have limited resources to invest,
you are right, i don't know why it didn't work before, probably because of the
password thingie, or i didn't write the nmap command correctly.
10x.

Isn't it short for "magic cookie" (man xauth).

One solution would be to run this process inside a chroot jail, and set
the "jailed" /etc/resolv.conf file to whatever dns servers you want - or a
specially crafted /etc/hosts file inside the jail.

Hi People,
This is wildly off topic, but I'll ask anyway..
CodeWeavers are beta testing some fixed to MS Access 2000, and what I would
like to test - is some MS Access based "programs" who needs hebrew, so the
newer release of Crossover will have good hebrew support in MS Access..

Hello,
I was wondering if and how it is possible to have Hebrew filenames on an
ext2/3 FS.
I have harvested into the docs and found out that the charset FS modules
are only good for FAT/ISO filesystems.
Whenever I try having Hebrew filenames (using KDE 3.0.5) the chars are

You can use req_query() function in your code (it has no output parser libs)
That lib call needs header file resolv.h and there is an option named:
_PATH_RESCONF (used by ndef) that can get the file name (instead of
resolv.conf).
Never seen an environment var that can be changed which affect resolv

Here's the script I use.
I have an RCA cable modem on eth1.
Things not apparent from the script:
1. My password is in chap/pap secrets.
2. cable.netvision.net.il is in /etc/hosts.
3. I run my own nameserver, hence my permanent resolv.conf.
4. It does not work at boot time.
5. /etc/rc.d/init.d/fw
