This is two questions at once...
1. ReiserFS is device-agnostic, i.e. it _will_ run on
RAID 0,1,2,3,4,5,10,01, etc arrays.
2. Linux has some support

you need to write a .pac file and to put it on a web server.
then you use the automatic proxy configuration script on the IE connection.
You can also use a transparent proxy so you will not have to configure
anything.

Evgeny is right - Use either qmail or Exim which both support maildir
format instead of the outdated mailbox format. That's what we use. We have
huge inboxes and no performance problems.
