For what its worth, I've been running Netscape 4.x on an Pentium 166 MMX
with 32MB of RAM and a 64MB swap partition without any problems in RedHat
5.1 up to RehHat 6. I even run StarOffice 5.1 on this machine, albeit a

That really depends on your settings, BIOS settings, selection of

No, it's internal tape. Turning the computer off is not an option - it's
the production server.

get rid of it? It doesn't react on signals while sleeping, it locks
resources and brings a lot of trouble. Is there a way to free
