They are 30 minutes each, which seems to mean some 550Mbytes, just
the right size to put on a CD-ROM (I don't have a DVD recorder.)
But what should the file format be? Of course, I

Hello to all, hello to Ulrich,
I don't want to annoy anybody, and there might be a lot of reasons why
such a softcam is interesting (money, comfort, etc.) or even would be
legal (in some way, sometimes and somewhere). And I don't assume
that everybody who is talking or asking about this softcam,

Hello,
I just asked myself after the last weeks of heavy posting in these two MLs,
if it would be a good idea to setup a newsserver for this.
First, I really like the comfort of reading and writing to newsgroups and
second we could setup a lot of new groups, like vdr-hardware, vdr-foresale

Hi,
First of all: Great piece of software :)
I took a quick look at the new DTV and have some infos/questions:
1) when doing "make install" the file "key_definition.dcl" wasn't copied
to the dist-dir (didn't examine that, but I suppose you just forgot
to include that in the makefile)
2) although

Because normal tv-cards lack of "real" osd-functions, DirectFB has been
developed, to create ODSs via a graphics-adapter...

Hi,
I have here a similar problem (switching from SAT.1 to RTL ends
in showing up Travel-Channel). I had a look at the vdr and driver
code the last weekend and found out that this problem is caused
by the diseqc-code (without diseqc, switching never fails). But so
far, vdr and the driver seem to

I just did a quick test with 2.1 instead of a 1.3 card .. and all

Hi Klaus,
first of all I have this problem too and tried your program, at least
every 15th switching caused an channel not sync error. But within my
short test (about 10 minutes) the sw was able to tune in with one or
two retries. I also applied the patch you suggested and it got even
worse, stil

Hi,
has anybody experience with synchronous playback (2 different films
with same size/length) of two mpeg2-films (+sound). Is this possible
with two dvbs-cards? Or even with dxr2/3-boards?
Any hints (software/hardware) would be great?
Sorry for being OT,

Hi,
yeah would be a great option (my remote control has a channel and an

Just some 'dummy' buttons for epg, channellist, timers, recording,

use 'em.

Hi,
i followed the whole thread regarding the powersafe-function of vdr

I agree with you that vdr should call an external program, script or
whatever with two parameters (next timer relative and next timer
absolute), this could be introduced to vdr via a commandline opti
Hi,
as far as I was able to follow the reichelt-thread, the version reichelt

But you should be able to get an old 1.3 from dvb-shop.de (bulk) for

selling (they do know! :) )

Hi!
Is it possible to acquire the signal strength or the quality of the signal

Background: I recently bought a LCD-Display with four keys and 10 LEDs
(Bargraph) and I want to integrate it in VDR. And using the LEDs for
displaying signal strength or qual

Hi,
I suppose you used WinCVS to get the latest driver-source via CVS.
In that case you have to enable an option to download linux-text-files
