How do I get these articulations? The accent sign I mean is shaped like
an acute accent (aigu) in French, and the unaccent sign is like a saucer
(or a breve in old-fashioned printing of Latin). There's nothing like
them defined in font-table.ly.

I'm a pretty new Lilypond user, about a week old in fact, so please be
gentle.
As a learning exercise I have been entering a keyboard arrangement of
one of Reger's Geistliche Gesänge, including the lyrics, which I had
previously done in Sibelius (opening bars appended as Morgengesang.ly).

then I realised that you're using 2.10.33. While I can't speak for that
version, in 2.11, it works fine without the workaround. I would highly
recommend 2.11. Especially if you're just starting. It makes lilypond a
lot more usable.

Thanks Mats. Exactly what I was after. One day I may even understand how
it works ;)

In the attached extract, I want a 'followVoice' line connecting beats 3
and 4, and no others. Depending on where I place "\set followVoice =
##t" I get either additional unwanted lines between other beats (bars 2
and 3), or no line at all (bar 4). What's going on? Is this intended
behaviour?

What's the override for moving the ends of a hairpin horizontally? I
need to start one a little to the right of its default position because
it collides with a cross-staffed note. But I can only find information
about moving hairpins vertically. I tried this:
\once \override Hairpin #'X-offset

I find the kerning of dynamics unsatisfactory, indeed I'm not sure that
it's happening at all. ff is spaced too wide, with visible daylight
between the f's; mp is squashed too close together. These pairs are the
worst; pp, sf, fz look okay.
Is this a characteristic of the font? If so, is there

Is there any way to get Lilypond to do the large time signatures found
in many 20th century scores?

Can this style be emulated in Lilypond?
